My yoga journey began more than twenty years ago as a part of my training for swimming. The basics I learned in visualization mindfulness and restorative movement propelled me to earn a division one athletic scholarship. I started teaching yoga at the student recreation center while completing my bachelors degree in exercise physiology. I completed traditional yoga teacher training with Mark Whitwell who studied directly under Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharia and TKV Desikachar. I then traveled to Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India where I completed 500 hour teacher training and four month yoga teaching internship. I taught at studios in San Diego and Reno and worked as a strength and conditioning coach for swimming and diving programs. I moved to the Bay Area in 2022 and completed my Doctorate at Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward. I am now a practicing Chiropractor here in Hayward. I love to teach the philosophical similarities between yoga and Chiropractic, both working towards the unification of mind and body.
