Stacey discovered yoga by accidentally wandering into a vinyasa class, thinking it was a coffee shop. That fortuitous wrong turn turned into a life-changing moment as she watched students flow in graceful unison before melting into savasana’s peaceful embrace. She returned the next day, and thirty years later, her practice is still going strong. Born and raised in the SF Bay Area, Stacey’s yoga journey has taken her through studios and spaces across the region, from local gyms to university halls where she deepened her practice through formal study. After putting down roots in the East Bay with her family of five, she felt called to share her passion for yoga with others. In 2023, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT 200) in an intimate setting under the masterful guidance of Amelia Andaleon at Spiritually Fit Yoga, focusing on Hatha and Yin practices. Drawn to continue her education, she completed another 200-hour certification in Power Yoga in Fall 2024, expanding her expertise under Amelia’s continued mentorship. When not on her mat, Stacey cherishes time with her family and finds parallel forms of mindfulness in reading fiction and poetry.
