Led by Iva Chu, ERYT500 Are you feeling overwhelmed or burned out after the hustle and bustle of holidays and you want some rest, inspiration, and relaxation. This workshop is for you to reset and recharge your mind and body. In this two-hour workshop, we will cover the following: · The purpose of mindfulness practices that apply directly to Yin Yoga. · What Yin & Yang tissues are in the body and why each type needs different exercise. · How Yin Yoga can increase strength, mobility, and resilience in dense connective tissue. · How to practice Yin Yoga safely and effectively with the Four Principles of practice. After some discussion, you will experience a relaxing and rejuvenating Yin Yoga practice. Iva will guide you through a series of poses designed to balance the nervous system and restore the body from head to toe. Leave with increased mobility, less mental and physical tension, and a little more peace. After the yin practice, we will transition to sound bath therapy, a guided meditation that induces a state of extreme relaxation between consciousness and sleeping. Sound Bath provides helpful tools for even the busiest skeptic who wants to achieve a reflective, self-healing state and experience calming relief in their daily life.
